Camano Island Retreat - May 3-5, 2006

Luckily the early May weather in Puget Sound was perfect. We went north to beautiful Camano Island for a couple of days of R and R. Very quiet and peaceful. No TV, no computer, no newspapers. Just looking at the scenery, reading books, and hoping for a whale sighting. Even a trip to the Camano Island IGA was a treat. And later, a trip to a small grocery/gas station/cafe at the south end of Camano to buy some ice screem. We passed on using the Kayaks.

The New Couch and Love Seat - May 2006

Our lovely couch and love seat have graced our home for years. Still beautiful, the furniture has given in to powerful ultra violet rays streaming in the large windows. Looking at replacements, after days of frustration, we decided we liked the original furniture. We found a wonderful upholsterer who restored our little beauties.

More On Atlanta - April 2006

We enjoyed the rest of the week visiting, and giving Eric and Kelly a sendoff on their big adventure moving to Boulder.
